By now you probably know that I’m a Frugal/DIY kinda gal, who, nevertheless, does enjoy the finer things in life. I am a true-blue thriftin vixen( see The Ten Thrift Commandments and Thrifting Tips Part 2 for more on thrifting finesse) The art of faux luxury just takes a little creativity a  resourceful mentality, and a sprinkle of pixie dust.

Inspired by this glam  Hollywood-styled, adorable, but oh-so-pricey Anthropologie fur bench, I saw an immediate opportunity to copy the look on a shoestring budget.

  • an old bench
  • spray paint
  • fur fabric
  • staple gun

the easy-breezy process

This is one of the easiest projects I’ve ever done. Minimal equipment needed and minimal work for making a great piece of furniture that’s like 90%off the retail price. That’s a project i can be happy about!!!!
Step #1 Take apart your bench.
Step#2  Spraypaint the logs gold.It’s glam , silly
Step #3 Put legs back on
Step #4 Cover the top of the bench with your fabric and staple…staple… staple.
